A story that
started it all.

♡

One small act of compassion changed the direction of OQELYN forever.

KINDNESS IS
OUR PURPOSE
🐾

It started with a kitten.

I found a tiny kitten in the street with a broken little leg. He was scared, in pain and completely alone.

I tried to get help. I called the police, the local council and different offices...

No one could do anything.

Until I reached out to a small cat rescue.

They were the only ones who answered.

“We don’t have much, but we will find a way to help.”

— THE RESCUE TEAM

That’s when I connected with them.

I started learning about their stories. About the cats they rescue. About the love, time and effort they put in every single day with so little in return.

I was deeply moved by their strength, their kindness and their mission.

That’s when I knew OQELYN had to be part of something bigger.

Small gestures, big changes

Corazón
y Sonrisas

Because caring also means looking beyond ourselves.

At Oqelyn, we believe beauty can also be found in the small gestures that make a difference in someone's life. That's why we want to shine a light on Corazón y Sonrisas, an initiative that has spent more than ten years sharing love, hope, and new opportunities.

Corazón y Sonrisas

A true story

Fresa's story 🐾

Fresa is a little cat who was rescued in Medellín. When she was found, she was pregnant and severely malnourished. Despite everyone's efforts to help her, her kittens were born prematurely and sadly did not survive.

Fresa was still in a fragile condition. She needed several veterinary visits, treatments, and a sterilization procedure. One of the vets warned that another operation could be too risky and recommended putting her to sleep.

But the woman who rescued her wasn't ready to give up. After taking time to think and speaking with people close to her, she decided to keep fighting for Fresa.

Today, according to Corazón y Sonrisas, Fresa is happy, surrounded by love and enjoying her life. Her story reminds us what care and hope can make possible. ♡

You can be part of this story too

It doesn't take a grand gesture to make a difference. Sometimes a small contribution, sharing a story, or simply helping it reach more people can mean so much.
